The color value of each dot is the average sampled pixel value of that area from the source image. Both plugins has a Z-depth displacement feature, you can displace each dot/stroke in Z-depth depending on its lightness, saturation or hue value. The size of each dot/stroke can also be modulated by the lightness, saturation or hue value. The Bikinidots plug-ins has full camera awareness and 3D functionality.
